Visit Australia in your holidays


Australia is an amazing destination for both business and leisure travelers. It has the distinction of being the sixth largest country and the smallest continent in the world. Australia is a land of world famous cities such as Canberra, Brisbane, Melbourne, Adelaide, Sydney and Perth. It's also a place that offers an incredible variety of flora and fauna. From the mountains to the oceans, one can experience sights and sounds that can't be witnessed anywhere else on earth.

Weather when it's summer in the Northern Hemisphere, Australia is experiencing the Southern Hemisphere's winter, and vice versa. The hottest period in Australia is from November to March, whereas midwinter is July and August. Leisure travelers visiting Australia should keep in mind that unlike the Northern Hemisphere, the further you travel south in Australia the colder it gets. The most ideal months to travel to Australia are from September through October when it's usually cool enough to visit Ayer Rock (Uluru), warm enough to go to the beach in southern states, and the rains and humidity haven't come to Port Douglas, Cairns and the Top End (though it gets very hot by October). This is also the time to see wildflowers in full bloom in Western Australia.

People who are interested in travelling to Australia they should have tourist visa to go there for their holiday. With exception of Australian and New Zealand citizen, visitors wishing to enter Australia have to make a visa application.

There are two types of visas for Australia, Electronic Travel Authorities (ETAs) which is an electronic visa available to holders of certain passport and these visas are valid for visits of up to 3 months. The other visa is Non-electronic visas which is available for those who do not hold the ETA eligible passport and people who wish to stay for more than 3 months.

An ETA visa electronically tagged the visa to your passport. It gives you the authority to travel in Australia. You can apply for ETA visa online or through travel agents. Upon approval of your application, you will receive a confirmation either through email, from your travel agent or by post.
The approved ETA visa allows multiply entries into Australia for 12 months. However, you can only stay to the maximum of 3 months (90days) at any one visit within the 12 month validity.


As there is a charge levied on the ETA visa application, it is important to check the validity of your passport, that is, your passport must have 6 month validity from the date of your departure to Australia. You should also find out if you are eligible to apply for the ETA visa. Some of the countries eligible for ETA visas are United Kingdom, Andorra, USA, Singapore, Malaysia, France, Germany, South Korea, Greece, Japan, Hong Kong and more.
